Prime Video brings to the audience a wide variety of content this week.
Expats is set against the backdrop of Hong Kong, the upcoming drama explores the thin line between victimhood and culpability through the lens of three American women based on the best-selling book by Janice Y. K. Lee's 2016 novel 'The Expatriates'. Directed by Lulu Wang, Expats features Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yooin in the lead, along with Brian Tee and Jack Huston in pivotal roles. The six-episode series is exclusively streaming with the first two episodes on Prime Video in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. New episodes will be launching weekly until the finale on February 23.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith follows two lonely strangers who work for a mystery spy agency that promises them a glamorous life of espionage, luxury, international travel, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith are navigating a high-risk endeavour while approaching a new relationship milestone. Their difficult cover story becomes much more complicated when they develop genuine feelings for each other. The action-comedy series spannings over eight gripping episodes is co-produced by Francesca Sloane and Donald Glover, who also plays the lead alongside starring Maya Erskine. and Donald Glover and Mr. & Mrs. Smith will premiere exclusively in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on Prime Video starting February 2.
King is a Telugu action-comedy film. The film revolves around King (Nagarjuna), the head of Coimbatore's royal family whose rivals have made several attempts on his life. King is ultimately killed while visiting Dehradun for work. Meanwhile, a local goon, Bottu Seenu, who resembles King, falls in love with an aspiring singer named Sravani (Trisha Krishnan), who pretends to be a software engineer. Seenu is brought to the King's Palace in unusual circumstances. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the film also features Srihari in lead role. The Hindi dub of the action-comedy film will premiere on Prime Video on January 30.
Saindhav is a Telugu action-thriller film which revolves around Saindhav Koneru, aka "SaiKo" played by Venkatesh Daggubati who embarks on a riveting journey of profound emotions and intense action. Once entrenched in a shadowy past, since then he has embraced the responsibilities of a doting father, leading a simple family life with his daughter, Gayathri. However, the tranquility shatters when Gayathri is diagnosed with a life-threatening health condition. Faced with the dire situation, he plunges back into the underworld, determined to save his daughter at any cost. This sets the stage for a relentless battle against his past adversaries, among them the merciless gangster Vikas Malik, portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who makes his Telugu debut. As SaiKo races against time, the question looms large: will he succeed in saving his daughter from the clutches of an impending tragedy? Directed by Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the banner of Niharika Entertainment, the film features Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role along with Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arya, and Andrea Jeremiah in pivotal roles. The film will premiere on Prime Video on February 3 in Telugu and Tamil.
The Passenger revolves around a man who is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past, played by Johnny Berchtold as Randolph Bradley. Directed by Carter Smith the American drama-thriller along with Johnny Berchtold features Merah Benoit and Betsy Borrego and will be available to stream on Prime Video on February 1.
