Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington star in this fantasy drama film directed by Paul Feig ( Ghostbuster 2016). Following the story of two best friends, Sophie and Agatha, they find themselves on opposing sides of an epic battle when they’re swept away into an enchanted school where aspiring heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between good and evil .
Positive: For a good fantasy drama movie, production value matters more, and in this one, the production design, including costumes and set design, of the imaginary world is very impressive. The whole world of the school for good and evil looks very inspired by the Harry Potter movies. It visually looks solid and interesting.
The performances of the actors are also a positive aspect of the movie. Each actor gives a decent performance as per the roles. Instead of these, unfortunately, the film doesn’t have too many plus points to say.
Negative: Plot Adaptation of this movie from the books is very weak. The story lacks depth. The characters’ motives and their chemistry with the supporting actors are not memorable. The dialogues in the film lack meaning and don’t have any impact on the audience in terms of emotion and drama. Except for the lead actors, all the actors’ character development is also weak. On that note, you can not connect with the actors.
Final Verdict – The School For Good And Evils Looks Solid Only On The Papers , but fails in reality . NOT RECOMMENDED , Skip it!
